SUNNY STREET – STAIRWAYS / ROOFTOPS: WORDS, WORDS, WORDS

This book is designed to support 1st and 2nd Class children in their efforts to write independently. It is part of the Sunny Street English language programme.

Contains lists of words learned in the Sunny Street Gateways, Doorways and Stairways storybooks, arranged in alphabetical order.
Space to add words of interest to themselves, thereby compiling personal dictionaries.
Banks of words on familiar themes, together with attractive illustrations.
Suggestions for ways to begin and end a story.
A page entitled ‘Sticky Spellings’, which they can use for quick reference and to write words that they often use but find difficult to spell
A section entitled ‘Have a go’, where they can attempt to spell a word on a ‘rough page’ before adding it to the relevant word list.
