SUNNY STREET – ROOFTOPS: JUST WRITE 2

The Revised Curriculum recognises the need to develop handwriting as an essential skill, suggesting practice in scribbling and pattern work from the earliest stages. With this in mind we have developed a series of writing books aimed at giving children the best start in early writing.

The Sunny Street English language programme offers an opportunity for children to become involved in the process of writing by linking it with the oral language and reading elements of the programme.

JUST WRITE 2

Here there are opportunities for children to encounter the use of lower-case and capital letters in the context of interesting or amusing sentences. For each letter, examples are given on how capital letters are used, e.g. for names of people, countries, towns.
