GEOGRAPHY QUEST 3

This book contains 16 stimulating units dealing with all strands of the Geography Curriculum. The children are exposed to interesting and topical subjects such as weather, healthy foods, plans, maps, recycling and homes in general. They are brought from their own local environment to the wider world outside. There are opportunities for the children to become involved in discussions as well as encouraged to design and make a rain gauge and devise plans for homes and schools. At the end of the book there are games, quizzes and projects to aid the teacher in the assessment process.
This Geography Quest series complements the History Quest series and the Science Quest series to provide a comprehensive programme of S.E.S.E. activities for children.
The series meets the emerging needs of pupils and teachers by identifying the Strand Units/Objectives on the first page of each unit. Suggested integration with other subjects of the curriculum are given at the end of each unit. The authors are aware of the importance of language development in the revised curriculum. Consequently, new terms and geographical vocabulary that children will encounter are identified throughout the series and are highlighted in the Key Vocabulary section of each unit.
