GEOGRAPHY QUEST 1

This first book of the series gently introduces the children to the world of a geographer. It addresses the skills and concepts outlined in the Primary School Curriculum, focusing on developing a sense of place and space in children. It caters for the teacher’s needs in relation to planning by outlining the aims and objectives at the bottom of the first page of each lesson.
This Geography Quest series complements the History Quest series and the Science Quest series to provide a comprehensive programme of S.E.S.E. activities for children.
The series meets the emerging needs of pupils and teachers by identifying the Strand Units/Objectives on the first page of each unit. Suggested integration with other subjects of the curriculum are given at the end of each unit. The authors are aware of the importance of language development in the revised curriculum. Consequently, new terms and geographical vocabulary that children will encounter are identified throughout the series and are highlighted in the Key Vocabulary section of each unit.
